To connect your iPhone camera, you'll need to install the Detail USB Camera app for iOS.

You can connect over a fast wifi connection or via USB. To connect over wifi, both your iPhone and Mac need to be a connected to the same network. USB offers the fastest and most way to connection, and also keeps your phone charged. Image quality on wifi might vary and some networks block internal traffic between devices.

When you launch Detail for iOS it should detect your computer and connect to Detail for MacOS. To use your iPhone with Detail, add a camera to your Scene and select your iPhone from the list of cameras.

You can use any of the lenses on your iOS device with Detail. When you’re selecting a camera, you’ll find the lens options below the camera previews. Depending on your iPhone model, you can choose the wide, ultra-wide, telephoto or selfie lens.

Alternatively you can connect your iPhone via Continuity Camera, and select your iPhone Camera in Detail. Bear in mind that Continuity Camera only supports wireless connections and doesn't support lens selection.
