Detail's Magic Teleprompter will hep you write a script from scratch or polish an existing one, here's how to use it.
Step 1: Open Detail and start a project
Open Detail on your iPhone or iPad. Create a new project, or open an existing one where you want to add your script.
You can also tap the Record a Script shortcut from the library and choose Generate a Script with AI
Step 2: Launch the Magic Teleprompter
In your project, tap on the teleprompter icon (💬) to open the Magic Teleprompter.
Type or paste your prompt into the Magic Teleprompter.
Tap the AI magic wand icon,
You’ll be given the option to ‘Generate a script with AI,’ where you can enter your prompt, or you can simply paste in a pre-written script.
If you’re looking for inspiration, there’s also a ‘Fun Recording Topics’ section that auto generates scripts in various topics.
Prompt tips for a natural tone:
Describe your tone. Use words like friendly, casual, or motivational to set the vibe.
Add audience context. Imagine you’re explaining for a beginner. Keep it light and approachable.
Request structure. Keep sentences short and list each tip clearly.
Example prompt: "Write a friendly, casual script for beginners about 3 simple ways to enhance video quality. Start with a quick intro, then list each tip in clear, easy-to-read sentences.”
Tip: You can also import transcripts from other videos to use as a reference or starting point. Simply select the file and add it to your project
Step 3: Customize your teleprompter settings and record
Adjust the scroll speed by sliding the control to match your reading pace.
Position your video window/video preview in a spot you’re comfortable with.
Tap the Play icon to do a test read-through to ensure you’re happy with everything.
Tap Record to start. The teleprompter will begin scrolling automatically.
