In this guide, we’ll look at two simple ways to make your videos more engaging: adding voiceovers and background music. These tools help you add narration, control audio levels, and give your videos a more finished feel.
Adding a voiceover
If you want to add narration after recording, open your project and tap Voiceover in the bottom menu. Tap the pink microphone button to start recording your voiceover.
When you’re done, the voiceover appears as its own track in the timeline. From there, you can trim the track, move it to a different position, adjust the volume, or delete it and record again if needed.
You’ll also see an Enhance option, which automatically improves the clarity of your audio and helps clean up your voice.
Adding background music
To add music, tap Music in the bottom menu. You have several ways to bring in a track. You can import a URL, choose music from your Photos or Files, or pick from Detail’s royalty-free music library, which includes ready-to-use tracks in different moods and styles.
Once added, the music appears in the timeline. You can trim it to match your video and adjust the volume so it sits nicely under your voice or main audio.
With voiceovers and music, you can turn a simple clip into a polished video that feels complete.
In the next guide, we’ll explore how to make a reaction video. See you in the next one.
