Auto Edit is one of the fastest ways to create polished videos without doing any manual editing. It analyzes your recording and automatically generates clean edits for podcasts, interviews, and talking head videos. Here’s how it works for each use case.
Auto Edit for podcasts and interviews
From the home screen, tap Auto Edit podcast. You can import a recording from your camera roll or paste a URL to bring in your own video from the web.
Once your video loads, you’ll be able to choose whether to add captions and select the correct language. These settings help ensure accurate transcription. When you’re ready, tap Continue and Auto Edit will start analyzing your recording.
During processing, Auto Edit detects the different speakers in your conversation. When prompted, simply assign names to each speaker by listening and selecting who is talking. This helps organize the conversation and label each moment correctly.
After processing finishes, the Edits panel appears. Here you’ll see multiple automatically generated versions of your video, including short vertical clips that are ready for platforms like TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, as well as longer edited versions of the full conversation.
When you’re happy with the results, tap Export to save the videos to your camera roll or share them directly.
Auto Edit for talking head videos
For single-person videos, go back to the home screen and tap Auto Edit talking head. Import a clip from your phone or paste a URL to add your video.
Before processing, you can customize your edit by toggling different options. You can enable Zoom cuts for more dynamic framing, add a Title, turn on Captions, include Background music, and select the correct Language for transcription.
Once everything is set, tap Continue and let Auto Edit do the work. It removes silences, applies cuts, adds captions if enabled, and prepares a clean, shareable version of your video automatically.
With Auto Edit, creating professional-looking videos takes just a few taps.
In the next guide, we’ll explore how to go live and stream directly to multiple platforms. See you in the next one.
